Terrazas de Los Andes Reserva Malbec

In 1996 the audacious founders of Terrazas de los Andes saw the singularity of Argentina’s terroirs, and had the vision to unite France’s winemaking heritage with local tradition and talent. Thus was born Terrazas de los Andes, fruit of a centuries-long history of courage, passion and savoir-faire. Reserva Malbec is hand-harvested from select estate vineyards: developed with extensive focus on vineyard management, these wines stand out for their aromatic intensity and complex style.

This Malbec was grown at over 1000 metres above sea level on the Vistalba Terrace. It has benefitted from a long cool ripening period that has resulted in distinct varietal flavours of red fruits like cherry, and rose hip, followed by elegant notes of lavender.

Tasting Notes:

Bright red color with purple shades. Intense floral and fruity notes. Presence of violets, ripe black cherry and plum aromas. On the nose there is freshly crushed violet flowers enveloping a deep core of jam preserves and ripened plums. The palate has racy notes of violet and graphite, and are followed by mouthfuls of dry cherries and fresh berry fruit.
