Silver Oak Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Silver Oak Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a complex wine with berry and floral aromatics and a lovely structure. It has a dark, ruby color and a vibrant nose of black cherry, wisteria and sweet baking spices. On the palate, the wine is elegant and expressive and echoes the berry, floral and spice notes from the nose. It has a classic structure of fine grained tannins and a long, layered finish.

100% Cabernet Sauvignon Integrating a new Berry Sensory Assessment protocol, adapted from the French Institut Cooperatif du Vin, into our longstanding philosophy of producing wines of moderate alcohol, we were able to harvest fruit at peak flavor and skin maturity before Typhoon Melor drenched the vineyards with six inches of rain on October 13th. Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon displays the ripeness and balance of fruit picked under ideal conditions.

The inaugural vintage from our LEED Platinum and Living Building-certified Silver Oak winery is ruby in color with a purple rim. Warm and inviting, it has notes of red currant, cassis, ripe plum, cardamom and toffee. There’s depth and weight on the palate—a harmonious intensity. This wine has a long and beautiful finish, and its fine tannins will provide drinking pleasure through 2043 with proper cellaring.

Given proper cellaring, this wine should give drinking pleasure through 2032

Varieties: 95.5% Cabernet Sauvignon / 3.6% Merlot / 0.5% Cabernet Franc / 0.3% Petit Verdot / 0.1% Malbec.
