Bright lemon and apple aromas mingle with hints of toasty barrel complexity, and on the palate, pear and pineapple with spice and refreshing acidity will have you coming back for another glass.
The 2011 vintage started off cool and damp, with little to no frost. Late rains continued until July, with almost two inches of rain in the month of June. the end of the rainy season led to a mild weather pattern for most of the summer, with average high temperatures around 80 degrees for both July and August. the heat finally returned in september, with one six day stretch of temperatures in the 90s, exactly what the vintage needed. We harvested the last of our chardonnay on October 19th under ideal conditions.
