A deep, saturated color leads to lifted aromas of blackberry, cocoa and herby black-currant, which is followed by a rich, layered mouthfeel, loaded with juicy black cherry, cedar, and crème de cassis. This wine is also elegantly structured with fresh acidity and ripe, mature tannins. Enjoy this vibrant Cabernet Sauvignon now and over the next several years.
The 2011 vintage started off cool and damp with little to no frost. Late rains continued until July, with almost two inches of rain in the month of June. The end of the rainy season led to a cool weather pattern for most of the summer, with average high temperatures around 80 degrees for both July and august. the heat finally returned in September, with one six day stretch of temperatures in the 90s, exactly what the vintage needed. We harvested the last of our Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon on october 25th under ideal conditions.
