Mandarine Napoléon Liqueur

A version of this liqueur was custom made for Napoléon Bonaparte in the early 1800s, after the emperor came across chemist Antoine-François de Fourcroy, known for his extraordinary distilling skills. But it was not until 1892, after the two had died, that the liqueur was introduced to the public. An exquisite, well-balanced blend of mandarin oranges from the best orchards in Sicily and refined 10 year old Cognac, it can be enjoyed neat or on the rocks, or used in any cocktails that call for orange liqueur to give it added complexity. It won a Gold medal at the 2013 Wine and Spirit Wholesalers of America Competition.
