Manzanilla is famed for its cool freshness and nutty, sea salty tang. It is the ultimate food wine, almost impossible to drink without something to nibble on alongside. Inexpensive, appetising and savoury, it deserves a far wider audience. In a recent tasting note by Jancis Robinson she describes La Gitana as “the sort of wine you could imagine devoting an entire holiday to”. Can't get a better endorsement than that!
