These hillside vineyards have less access to water, with the rockier soil also holding fewer nutrients. These conditions stress the vines, resulting in the production of a fraction of the fruit of most vineyards. The harsh environment causes the vines to struggle, yielding fewer clusters and smaller berry size. The result is berries that are loaded with rich, ripe, intensely concentrated flavors and complexity.

Juggernaut Cabernet Sauvignon is created from the use of a hillside vineyard. Over a 12–18-month process, the Bogle Winery takes time to properly age their red wines to perfection. This Cabernet is grown on a hillside vineyard in one of four of California's major appellations. These include Livermore Valley, Sierra Foothills, Alexander Valley, and Lake County. The Juggernaut wine company, Bogle Vineyards, has created a red wine with a luxurious texture of black currants, dark black fruit and vanilla. One can find an aroma of licorice and blackberry that accompanies the perfect taste and smooth finish.
