Jack Daniel's Tennessee Rye is a whiskey made with a mash bill that consists of 70% rye, 18% corn, and 12% malted barley. It is aged in handcrafted barrels made from charcoal-mellowed oak, following Jack Daniels signature charcoal mellowing process known as the "Lincoln County Process". This gives the rye smoother, more mellow flavor profile compared to other rye whiskeys, with notes of vanilla, spice, and a touch of fruitiness.
Unlike many rye whiskeys, which can have a sharper, spicier flavor, Jack Daniel's Tennessee Rye is designed to be more approachable, with a balance of sweetness and spice. It is aged for a minimum of four years, although some batches may be aged longer depending on the desired flavor profile.
