Jack Daniels Old No. 7 Legacy 2nd Edition

Just like the name “Old No. 7”, the history of our label is a bit of a mystery. Some say we chose the color to mourn Mr. Jack’s death; others don't think we chose it for any reason at all. We may never know for sure, but we are certain this label was one of the very first times it was predominantly black. 

This second bottling in the Jack Daniel's Legacy Edition Series is a return to one of the first instances of Jack's iconic black label. It's a symbol of our enduring spirit, an ode to Mr. Jack's color of choice and, well, just a good bottle of whiskey. So, enjoy a sip or two of Jack Daniel's history.

Following the theme from the first bottling, we get to see a Jack Daniel's label design only previously seen by people back in the days of yore and yonder. Its anchor and rope crest and black background speak to the quiet confidence and character of the Tennessee Whiskey that rests within. Evidently, this particular design was the first time that Jack Daniel's was mostly decked out in black - a style that continues to this day.

Tasting Notes:

Nose: Butterscotch, vanilla, and fresh apples.

Palate: Orange zest, cereal sweetness, and toasty oak, with a little spice and toffee.

Finish: Smooth and soft, with a hint of banana milkshake.
