Jack Daniel’s Twice Barreled American Single Malt Whiskey

The Jack Daniel’s Special Release series highlights a limited innovation from the Jack Daniel Distillery, and this year’s may be a little unexpected - a new grain bill from Lynchburg, Tennessee - 100% Malted Barley. Jack Daniel’s Twice Barreled 2022 Special Release American Single Malt Whiskey is finished in Oloroso Sherry Casks.

Master Distiller Chris Fletcher and his team of whiskey makers set out with a desire to craft a uniquely American Single Malt Whiskey.

This is a one-of-a-kind experience crafted from the highest quality malted barley, charcoal mellowed, and twice barreled for a complex taste. This special release is first aged in brand new, American white oak barrels and then finished in the finest Oloroso sherry casks and bottled in its truest form, straight from the cask, with the proof ranging from 106.1-107.8.

Tasting Notes:

Color: Dark Chestnut

Nose: Soft oak, red fruit, cocoa, brown sugar, sweet fruit, and a hint of vanilla and plum.

Palate: Caramel, plum, oak, and vanilla flavors are complemented by dark chocolate-covered nuts and berries.

Finish: Subtle sherry. Spice and pepper with clove dark chocolate and sweet fruit

Mashbill: 100% Malted Barley.
