Gran Reserva adds an indulgent finishing touch to any moment, transforming uncommon into unequalled. Patiently mellowed for 21 years in Scotland, it starts quiet, restrained but rich with a defiant Glenfiddich Distillery DNA. Only when it has reached perfection does it get its time to shine. Finished in Caribbean Reserva rum casks to add sharp ginger, sultry fig and uplifting lime notes that build to a crescendo of sweet toffee and spicy exotic warmth.

Glenfiddich Gran Reseva has patiently matured and mellowed in American Oak casks for 21 years at the Glenfiddich distillery, but rather than bottle it, as other distillers would, our malt master, Brian Kinsman, hand picks selected barrels and adds a sublime finishing touch. It is an exquisite, traditional Speyside whisky, rich and ripe with the Glenfiddich signature notes.

After achieving a rich smoothness, it is then decanted into hand-selected rum casks for a further 4 months, infusing the whisky with a spicy warmth and indulgent toffee sweetness.

Tasting Notes:

Glenfiddich 21 Year Old has exquisite and rich aromas of fudge and hints of ripe banana intermingle luxuriously on the nose, whilst complex flavours of toffee and spice combine with warm oak and the merest hint of smoke on the palate.
