With the perfect aromatic notes of oaken vanilla, caramel, and maple sugar. Buttery caramel feels with harmonious wood-aged rum flavors and oily macadamia & pepper complexity finish.
The youngest rum in the blend is 8 years, aged in American Oak ex Bourbon Casks (Kentucky sourced). Don Pancho wanted to recreate the rum he used to drink when he was young in Cuba, at a time where 7YO and 8 YO where the oldest rums available.
Tasting Notes:
Appearance: Light amber/gold, on swirling it leaves light oily coat which then retreats leaving small droplets
First Impression: Toffee, vanilla, and cane with demurrer sugar and molasses notes with whispers of the alcohol wrapping around dark fruit notes lifting the overall bouquet to a slightly orange and hyacinth note anchored by vanilla and molasses.
Taste: Honeyed, woody, oak with char, tobacco, leather, ghee, persimmon, nutmeg, cinnamon, slightly grassy and alkali notes with a pleasing creamy vanilla note and not overly sweet
A versatile product meant to drink it neat, on the rocks, or on a fine cocktail.
