This handcrafted mezcal has a distinctive smoky flavor and an herbal bouquet that’s enhanced by a rich agave character. It’s produced in the Highlands of southern Mexico, where the renowned Arellanes family has been crafting one of the region’s most celebrated mezcals since the late 1700’s. It is produced with earthen-roasted agave hearts which, after being crushed, are fermented together with their piña fibers, double-distilled in small traditional ceramic clay pots and aged in American used brandy casks.
