A very special old rum from Brugal. This was twice distilled and aged in American oak before a finish in Spanish oak sherry casks. A delicious dark rum from the Dominican Republic.

Brugal 1888 Doblemente Añejado is a truly exceptional rum, crafted in the Dominican Republic, and combining the rich flavours of bourbon and sherry casks through a double-ageing process.

Tasting Notes:

Color: A deep amber colour with rich red undertone. Clear and bright.

Nose: The sophisticated sweetness of red and dried fruits, raisins and dates, complement a spicy woodiness, with hints of cinnamon. Toasty with charred oak, sultanas, dates and honey, with a touch of gentle smoke.

Palate: Well rounded and smooth with body and character. Perceived sweetness of toffee and vanilla balanced with peach, cocoa and cloves. Buttery and sweet with butterscotch, Demerara sugar, manuka honey and wafts of wood smoke.

Finish: Remarkably long-lasting and elegant, with a hint of honey. Toffee apple and salty butter.
