Dating back to 1526, the compact, lightweight & deadly, Falconet cannons were accurately effective during close range broadside battles. The name was derived from the size of the shot she fired! Often compared to the size of a bird of prey and so was decorated with the falcon. Experienced crews knew that mastering the use of Falconets meant the difference between defeat and victory. Bombarda’s Falconet 8 - 15 Year Lost Barrel Blend is an uncompromised & double aged for a furious flavor. First our blends are aged in select white oak casks under the tropical sun of the caribbean, then shipped off to the Old World, where they mature in select bourbon casks. Our blending crew combined the flavors of the sweet and smooth profile of Latin American rums from the ports of Panama & Dominican Republic with the English style rums of Trinidad and pot stilled Guyana aged rums. Falconet's combination of origin & age allows for depth and complexity. With no added sugars, colorants or caramel, Bombarda’s Falconet is a pure & natural rum with a fierce character. 43% ABV / 86 Proof. 750 ML
