Produced exclusively from roasted atole, a rich and nutty Hopi blue cornmeal, this unique craft whisky is the cask strength expression from the Texas craft distillery. Incredibly layered, with sweet notes of butter, corn and candied nuts along with savory tones of chili, oak, leather and salt, it won a Bronze medal at the 2013 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

The cask strength expression from the Texas craft distillery is produced using roasted atole, a rich and nutty blue cornmeal that’s used by the Hopi. The nose tempts with aromas of chocolate, caramel, toffee, vanilla, oak, butter, chile, coffee, brown sugar and dried apricots. There are a multitude of interesting flavors on the palate, including caramel, fudge, orange spice, cocoa, vanilla, pear, leather, salt, cinnamon and spice, and the finish is warming and long. Feel free to add water to it if you like—but the producer likes to keep the water on the side when enjoying this special spirit. Incredibly layered and ultimately unique (it may be the only blue corn whisky made in the world), it won Best Whiskey at the 2014 American Craft Distillers Association Competition.
