Description

100% Aglianico from the high-altitude vineyards of Castelfranci, Venticano and Bonito. The grapes are macerated and fermented in stainless steel for 10 days. Half the wine is aged for 12 months in old French oak, the other half in stainless steel on lees before blending and bottling.

A dense, powerful young red, fresh and spicy on the nose with black fruits and smoky, tarry notes. Fresh wild plum and bitter cherry fruit is balanced by taut acidity and firm but ripe tannins. An impeccably made wine combining depth and structure with vibrant, spicy fruit.
