(fermented in stainless steel tanks, with malolactic fermentation and eight months of aging in used French oak barriques) Dark purple. Smoke-accented aromas of ripe dark berries, licorice, pungent flowers and cracked pepper slowly develop a hint of mocha. Smooth and seamless in texture, offering bitter cherry and cassis flavors that show very good depth and building spiciness. Closes very long and sappy; velvety tannins come in late to add shape and gentle grip.
