Description
Malbec 100%
Soil
The vines take root on a clay-limestone hillside of the Causse de Cahors in the shape of an amphitheatre facing south-west. The soils are very stony on steep slopes. It is one of the highest vineyards in the Appellation.
Winemaking
The vinification process is long, traditional and the temperature control is rigorous in order to preserve the fruit. The maturation period lasts from 8 to 10 months in stainless steel vats.
Crisp black fruits, a subtle balance between roundness and fruit, Petit Jammes reveals a natural finesse, with its aromas of blackberries, blackcurrants and violets. The palate is long and perfectly balanced.
