Description

Sylvain decided to follow in the footsteps of his grand-father making wine from his homeland, in Anjou. Sylvain gained experience with some of the pioneers in unsulfured winemaking: Mark Angeli and Olivier Cousin. He worked with Olivier for 10 years, learning the complexity of the viticulture and also ploughing on horseback with the respect to work closely with nature.

Sylvain fulfilled a lifelong dream by purchasing the majestic cellars of l’Abbaye de Saint-Maur in Thoureil, on the right bank of the Loire between Saumur and Angers.

This red wine, is certified organic, harvested manually and carefully selected in small crates. Slow vinification, light pressure by using an ancestral press, no filtration and no added sulfur. Whatever wines you taste from him, they all excel in purity, made with precision from a healthy volcanic and slate soil.
