The 2012 Tinto, the Estate red, is a blend of 50% Touriga Nacional, 20% Tinta Roriz, 10% Touriga Franca, 10% Castelão and 10% Alicante Bouschet, aged for 18 months in used French oak. It comes in at 14% alcohol. This doesn't show a lot of concentration in this vintage, but it has fine structure, some intensity–both in power and flavor–and seductive texture. This is a perfect food wine and a good value (I am saying that last a lot lately with this bottling, an annual “can't-go-wrong” bargain).
