Description

Nat Cool is naturally “cool and funky”. It represents an innovative concept initiated by Niepoort, in which various producers came together to create light, easy-to-drink wines. In the Vinho Verde region, we produced a wine typical of the region – a wine which references the “cloudy” wines of the past which were bottled with some residual sugar and fine lees, and therefore re-fermented in the bottle. Welcome to the Nat Cool world!

The Natcool branco 2019 displays a yellow hue with hints of green as well as a cloudy appearance thanks to its bottle fermentation. Its sediment is entirely natural, and we recommend rolling the bottle gently before opening it so that the components can mix together and provide an optimal tasting experience. On the nose, the aromas are reminiscent of the wines of the past: slightly reductive with plenty of fruity freshness and citrus. The palate, on the other hand, reveals a more modern precision, with excellent balance, high acidity and a gentle effervescence providing an enticing and saline freshness. This wine will make an ideal apéritif as well as a fantastic partner for light dishes and snacks.
