The 2019 Musgo Touriga Nacional is unoaked and comes in at just 12.2% alcohol. Somewhat in the style of the 2018 blend—tight, not very fruity, a bit tannic and fresh—this is another nice value in the lineup. If anything, though, this is a bit tighter (and a year younger) and even more slight in the mid-palate. The focus, precision, freshness and elegance are much the same. Of the two, I'd pick the 2018 blend, at least today. It seems better overall, but also a little more evolved. This is something that will be better this time next year.
