The 2020 Branco Musgo—Dão, not Vinho Verde—is a traditional regional field blend (Encruzado, Malvasia Fina, Rabo-de-Ovelha, Bical and others), very dry and coming in at 12% alcohol. Alas, the producer said his quantities from his first foray into this region were very small. That's sad, because this seems pretty terrific. Concentrated, intense and powerful, this is beautifully wrought. It touches every base and comes in at a nice price too. It should age well. There were 3,200 bottles produced from vines averaging 25 years in age.
