The 2015 Branco is a roughly equal blend of Viosinho, Rabigato, Arinto, Verdelho and Códega do Larinho. About 30% of the batch was fermented in French oak. It comes in at 13% alcohol. This is another lovely white bargain from Duorum this issue. Not surprisingly, they are both 2015s, a Branco vintage that keeps demonstrating how exceptional it is for white wines (probably the reds, too, but we haven't seen many yet). Adding a couple of layers of concentration and unctuous texture to the Tons Branco reviewed this issue, this is solid, fresh and beautifully balanced. There is a bit of bite on the finish and it handles the wood perfectly. It probably isn't going to be the wine that ages the longest and develops the best, but it has plenty of substance at the moment, plus good structure. It is a perfect food wine.
