Domaine de Durban's Muscat de Beaumes de Venise is 100% Muscat à Petits Grains Blanc with an average vine age of 35 years, planted to predominantly clay and limeston soils of their picturesque hillside vineyards. All the fruit is hand-harvested and sorted. It is fermented in stainless steel, fortified, and then aged in a combination of cement and stainless steel before bottling. The result is an enchanting, ancient sweet wine aromas of peach, apricot, honey and exotic fruits that can age up to 20 years. Serve chilled and pair with foie gras, bleu cheese or dark chocolate as well as fruity desserts.Compared to other fortified wines, like Port, it's final alcohol is low, at 15% ABV.
