Description

Beemster Aged is a rich Dutch cheese made from pasteurised cow's milk. It is a type of gourmet Gouda, matured for no less than 18 months on traditional wooden boards in Beemster's historic warehouses. This cheese has a spicy, strong yet well balanced flavour, as the cows are fed faraway from any of the industrial area in the salty North Sea meadows. Its profound, complex taste is underlined by a smooth, rich feel. Moreover, it has 20% less salt than other Dutch cheeses.
