As for the 2014 Proprietary Red Red C, this is an interesting blend of Syrah, Merlot, Zinfandel, Malbec, Petit Verdot and Grenache all hailing from Sonoma. Some Cabernet Sauvignon press wine from Leslie Rudd’s vineyards is also used. It spends 14 months in French oak and is bottled unfined and unfiltered. This is a nice, savory, bistro, trattoria style of red with spice, pepper, herbs and loads of red cherry and red currant fruit.
